If you’re looking for a custom-made item or need advice on which headwear to choose and how to wear it, an appointment with me is perfect for you. 

I will guide you through the process of creating your item, whether it’s a hat, custom cape, or bridal headpiece, using exquisite high-end fabrics and materials. I can also help you style these items to match different looks, hairstyles, and aesthetics.

If I'm unavailable when you call, please feel free to leave me a voicemail! I'm probably busy with another client, but I will get back to you as soon as I can!

When you come for your appointment, please bring along your outfit or any inspiration for what you would like to create. This will help us choose styles and match colours more accurately. You will have approximately an hour with me to browse and try on as many styles as necessary to ensure you are completely happy with your piece.

I will guide you through the fabric options, trims, and all the glamorous elements that go into creating a fabulous hat. This collaborative process ensures that I can craft something truly unique and personal for your special event. If you feel you need extra time or have any time constraints, please discuss this when making your appointment.

If you come across an existing hat that you love, it may also be available for purchase or hire!

If you choose to have a completely bespoke hat made, please allow six weeks for its completion. If you require it sooner, let us know, and I will do my best to accommodate you.

Millinery Hire 

Not ready to buy a hat? Renting is a great option! I offer a range of fascinators and hats for you to try on, and we can alter items to match your colour scheme.

Our Simple Hiring Process

A deposit is required to secure your booking, and hats are usually hired for five-days. If you need yours a little longer, for example, for travel, just let me know and I'll do my best to accommodate. Each hat is retired after three hires, so you can be confident you’re always wearing something in perfect condition. Prices vary depending on the piece, so if you’d like more details or have a particular hat in mind, feel free to email me at jane@thehathouse.co.uk or call 07940529507

 

Custom Options

If you don’t find something you love, we offer a bespoke hire service to create a custom piece for hire for you at a percentage of the retail price.

Care & Returns:

I kindly ask that you take great care of your hired hat, as any damage to the piece or its trims will mean the full price of the hat is chargeable, and it will then be yours to keep. If you need to cancel your booking, please give me at least a week’s notice so your deposit can be refunded, as deposits are non-refundable within seven days of hire. When returning your hat, please use the original hat box or packaging so it stays in immaculate condition for future wearers.

Want to purchase after hire?

If you fall in love with your rented hat, you are more than welcome to purchase it to keep it for good! Just let us know!
